MARIA TAYLOR

Maria Taylor is a singer-songwriter celebrated for her hushed vocals, cinematic atmospheres, and emotionally resonant storytelling — both as a solo artist and as a founding member of Azure Ray. Her forthcoming album, Story’s End, unfolds like a hazy, widescreen narrative, with each song acting as a chapter tracing love, loss, fracture, and the quiet search for solace in the aftermath. Written over several years and shaped by profound personal upheaval, the record finds Taylor expanding the signature elements of her work — bell-like piano, sweeping strings, and intimate lyricism — into something more nuanced, expansive, and ultimately life-affirming. Recorded between her California home studio and ARC Studios in Omaha, Story’s End features collaborations with Mike Mogis, Ben Brodin, Brad Armstrong, Conor Oberst, Nate Walcott, and others. The album gradually arrives at a fragile but powerful sense of transformation and hope. At once journal-like and cinematic, Story’s End offers listeners a space for reflection and consolation, paying close attention to the fleeting moments that quietly give life its meaning.Maria recently sang harmonies on three songs on Phoebe Bridgers’ last record. She sang on her John prine cover “summer’s end” and the last few years she toured the US, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand playing drums for Bright Eyes.

EVIE MORAN

Evie Moran is a nature lover, a closeted poet and a folk musician. She has spent the past decade crafting melodies, scribbling lyrics and exploring an eclectic array of influences to become the artist she is today. Inspired by the rich harmonies of The Staves, the sweet soul of Corinne Bailey Rae and the delicate poeticism of Billie Marten, Evie breathes a fresh lease of life into contemporary folk.Evie’s work is careful and considered, with some pieces taking years to come to fruition. With songs of dreams, love and nature, her music offers a meditative, reflective space - inviting listeners into moments of quiet introspection. After earning national praise for the tranquil acoustic atmosphere of her last single ‘Disconnected’, which gained support from BBC Radio 6 Music, Evie’s new work delivers distinctively pure vocal emotion wrapped up in warm production, culminating in an elevation of her folk roots into a new atmospheric soundscape.Years of experience shine through Evie’s live performances, described by BOOT Music as ‘bursting with grace and spark as she shared her personal craft’. Along her journey she has been championed by BBC Introducing Merseyside, Sound City’s Artist Development Programme and now Factory Sounds from Factory International and Adidas.
